Manitoba EOI Draw issued 469 Skilled Worker Invites

The much-in-demand Canadian province of Manitoba held its 53rd expression of interest draw on November 8, 2018 in which it issued a total of 469 new letters of advice to skilled workers to apply for Provincial Nomination.

In the recent EOI Draw, a total of 300 letters of Advice were issued to skilled workers in Manitoba with a minimum cut-off score of 602. The remaining 69 applicants got letters of advice to apply directly as overseas skilled workers under a stream of Manitoba PNP called Strategic Recruitment Initiative. The candidates with the lowest ranking score of 705 were invited to apply under Manitoba Nominee Program (MPNP).

The Strategic Recruitment Initiative is a unique stream by the province of Manitoba that consists of recruitment missions where provincial representatives hold interviews with foreign skilled workers from around the world. The selected skilled workers need to meet the eligibility requirements after which they are issued letters of advice to apply for permanent residency in Canada.

In addition to the above-mentioned draws, 100 letters of advice to apply were also issued to the candidates having:

A close relative or blood relative residing inside Manitoba or have a past educational credential or work experience from Manitoba;
At least 6 months of skilled work experience in any occupation mentioned on Manitoba’s In-demand Occupation List of the year
A minimum language aptitude of CLB/NCLC 5 unless skilled work experience is primarily in a regulated occupation (minimum CLB/NCLC 7) or a compulsory trade (CLB/NCLC 6)

The candidates having a minimum score of 610 were invited in this latest draw. The applicants who got LAA will now have a period of 60 days to submit a complete application for a provincial nomination to the MPNP in order to get a PR visa.
