CRS Points Calculator: What are the factors determining your final CRS score?

The IRCC has developed the CRS point calculator to evaluate your immigration profile in the Express Entry system. The CRS has certain variables that determine the final score, deciding whether the candidate is eligible to immigrate to the maple leaf county or not. What factors are responsible for your final CRS Score?

·         Age: You shouldn't be above 47. The maximum marks, that is, 12 points in the calculator will be assigned for applicants aged between 18-35 years.

·         Educational qualification: The higher your educational qualifications, the higher your CRS score. The maximum points awarded to you score are 25. You will need an Education Credential Assessment (ECA) to determine the equivalence of your qualifications with that of the Canadian standards.

·         Arranged employment: You can also earn 10 points in the final score if you have a legitimate job offer from a Canadian employer. With a job offer, you are more likely to overcome your dream of obtaining a Canada PR. 

·         Work experience: With a good amount of work experience, you can achieve high points in the CRS score. In the NOC In-demand Job List, regularly published by the Government of Canada, you can find numerous job prospects -and find the one that best suits your profile, work experience, and accomplishments. The list shows the jobs in the Canadian labour market that is in high demand. The highest awarded points are 15.

·         Language proficiency: You must take a language proficiency examination if you wish to immigrate to Canada. The examination is designed to test your command of the language in either French or English. The CRS gives a total of 25 points.

·         Adaptability: You and your spouse - can both earn a total of 10 points if you are to immigrate together to the country.
