If you have already decided to apply to Canada for immigration, you already need to be aware of the CRS points factor that can impact your overall application for immigration. You can use a CRS Points Calculator to check your current CRS ranking. Please note, however, that if your CRS Score cannot compete with other candidates in your pool, your application will become difficult to pass. However, your CRS Score can still be increased and your application launched. Some of the easiest ways to do this are here.
- Recall for IELTS: If the last time you attempted IELTS, you didn't get a pretty decent score, it's time for you to get back the same score. The more points you earn in IELTS, the more points you can earn under the CRS framework language category.
- Learn French: you must know already that French is Canada's second official language. And guess what! And guess what! Under the CRS scheme, you can get extra points for your French skills. Use the CRS Points Calculator to know the exact points you will earn after passing the French qualification test.
- PNP application: Canada operates a Provincial Nominee Scheme, in which each country's province nominates its own immigration candidates on the basis of the expertise it needs to run the province efficiently. If you can do the same, your CRS score would increase immediately by 50 points.
- Raise your work experience: from a work experience of as little as 1 year, your CRS score can be increased to 12 years of work experience. If you have enough time before you relocate into Canada, use your time to improve your job experience.
