Express Entry is the program that handles application
related to Canada PR applied by people as skilled workers. Before you apply for
Canada PR you need to check for your eligibility. You are given Canadian CRS score based on your
profile.
You can look for the following points:
1.
You
should be able to prove to an immigration officer that you will leave Canada
once your visa expires
2.
You
should have prior work experience for at least 1 year
3.
You
should have a valid job offer letter from an eligible Canadian employer before
you apply for Canada PR
4.
You
should have a valid travel document
5.
All the
documents submitted should also be valid
CRS ranking is given based on the answers you provide
during your profile creation. It is ranked based on the following factors:
1.
Age (maximum 12 points)
However, there is no fixed age for
applying for Canada immigration, but it does play a role in your profile
ranking. If people below the age of 18 are applying for Canada immigration
program they will get 0 points and same goes for people who are 47 or above.
2.
Language skills (maximum 28 points)
English is the official language of
Canada. You get 24 points from English and 4 points from second official
language, i.e. French.
3.
Education (maximum 25 points)
If you have a Canadian education, you
must have a valid degree/diploma. If you have a foreign education, then you
must have Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report from recognised
organization.
a.
If you have diploma of three years or
bachelor’s degree you will get 21 points.
b.
Candidates with Double bachelors will
get 22 points.
c.
Candidates with master’s degree will
get 23 points.
d.
Candidates with Doctorate (Ph.D.)
will get maximum 25 points.
4.
Work Experience (maximum 15 points)
Here you are given points based on
number of your work experience. Keep in mind that your work experience will be
counted only if,
a.
The work experience was in Canada or
abroad
b.
It was while you were studying
c.
It was while you were self-employed
If you have more than 6 years of work
experience you will get the maximum 15 points.
5.
Arranged employment (maximum 10
points)
You get the highest points if your
job offer letter is of at least 1 year from an eligible Canadian employer.
6.
Adaptability (maximum 10 points)
The highest points that you get for
adaptability are 10. You get highest points if you have at least 1 year of
Canadian employer.
To be eligible for Invitation to Apply (ITA) you need
have 67 Canadian CRS score out of
100.
